LUNCHTIME POLL What’s Your Favorite Twitter Client

Gather ’round one and all, for it is once again time for the weekly Lunchtime Poll!If you’ve been following along, you know the way it works is simple. We toss out a poll question each week, start off with some responses from the Mashable staff, and then open it up to you wonderful readers in the comments. We’re looking to get a sense of what the community thinks about the topic du jour, and why — so be sure to explain your answer in your response as well.First let’s take a look at last week’s results, when we asked you what your favorite web browser is. Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome came out on top, with Firefox getting a small edge over the latter. A lot of folks mentioned using both, or using one at work and one at home. Lots of developers said they couldn’t get the job done without FireBug.Beyond that, Apple’s Safari came in a respectable third place, with Opera 10 coming in a strong forth. Social browser Flock came in just behind Opera, and a few mentions for Konqueror, Internet Explorer, avantbrowser.com, and Minefield, an early build of the next iteration of Firefox. And now let’s get on with this week’s question:What’s your favorite Twitter client? Please mention your platform in your answer as well.Mashable FavesAdam Ostrow: TweetDeck on Windows XP. Easy to manage and track groups, easy to retweet, easy to reply … it makes all of the essential functions of Twitter easier. Pete Cashmore: I use Tweetdeck for reading but tweet from Web. Don’t ask why: it’s beyond the comprehension of mortals.Ben Parr: TweetDeck: It’s fast, streamlined, and great for novices and beginners.Jennifer Van Grove: Seesmic Desktop on Mac OSX: It’s a full view of Twitter and Facebook at my finger tips, so I can see and know all.Christina Warren: Mac OS X – Tweetie. Fast, functional, sexy. Barb Dybwad: TweetDeck for both Mac and iPhone. Love the multiple columns view, groups, and the ability to synchronize between machines.Image courtesy of iStockphoto, ericsphotographyReviews: Facebook, Firefox, Flock, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Seesmic Desktop, TweetDeck, Twitter, iStockphoto, tweetieTags: lunchtime poll, seesmic desktop, tweetdeck, tweetie, twitter, twitter clients
